Energy label for retail:grip on regulation, value and future
For retailers, property owners and managers who see the energy label not as a mandatory number, but as a strategic steering tool.
- Understanding energy performance and impact on operations
- Linkage to design, remodeling and maintenance
- Quick clarity for rental, sale or redevelopment
Why an energy label for retail is more than compliance
Retail properties are expressly subject to energy label requirements since tightened regulations. This affects not only legislation, but also value, lettability and operational costs.
For managers and decision makers, this means:
- No delays in rentals or sales
- No surprises when remodeling or repositioning
- More control over future investments
Our belief:
An energy label is not an endpoint, but a starting point for good choices.

When is an energy label mandatory for retail?
When leasing or selling, a valid energy label must be available. In many cases, the label must also be visibly present in the store.
Does this also apply to smaller stores?
Yes. Stores under 250 sq. ft. must also be able to hand over a label, although different visibility requirements apply.
Can you also advise on improvements?
Yes. That is precisely our strength: label + strategy + design in cohesion.
