Diversityand equality

At NewArmstrong, we believe that strong teams are created when differences are normal. Not as a statement, but as a reality. We work with people who think differently, bring different experiences and each contribute in their own way. That makes our work sharper, our collaboration better and our decisions more careful.

For us, diversity is not about pigeonholes or labels. It’s about giving room for perspective, and taking each other seriously in terms of content and professionalism. This is how we build a work environment in which everyone can participate and take responsibility.

Equality in practice

Equality for men and women is naturally important to us. Within our team we consciously strive for balance: on average we work with a 50-50 male-female distribution and a mix of seniority and young talent. This combination ensures that experience is passed on and new techniques and insights are fully explored.
We are also realistic in life stages. Whether you have children, want to have children or not – that’s all fine. We know what that means in practice and take that into account. For us, work and home are not opposed to each other, but should be workable together.

Open, without judgment

We find preferences for religion, belief or gender interesting – because they say something about who someone is – but they are never determinative. We don’t care what those preferences are. What matters is how you work together, take responsibility and contribute to the team.

This is reflected in how we celebrate holidays and moments. We celebrate the Great Feast (Sugar Festival) as naturally as we celebrate Passover or Easter. Not because we have to, but because it suits who we are: a team that reflects society and is relaxed about it.

Working with differences

We are open to all the characteristics that society offers us. Not everything has to be predetermined or perfectly arranged – we rely on getting it working together. By talking, listening and staying sharp on how we work together.
That openness also requires something of ourselves: curiosity, respect and a willingness to learn. That doesn’t make us a “perfect” team, but it does make us a team that continues to grow.

Why this matters

For us, diversity is not a separate issue, but part of quality. Teams with different perspectives make better decisions, spot risks earlier and arrive at solutions that last longer. This applies internally, but certainly also to the work we do for clients.

Building success together

With that team – diverse in background, experience and thinking – we like to help build the success of our clients.
Quiet, careful and with an eye for the reality in which people work.
