Retail and leisure master class: screw ups and success stories.
Retail and leisure? That combination is dead, isn’t it?
Shopping is leisure, right? So why add leisure and entertainment to shopping centers? Surely those American Malls with arcade games are a relic of ’90s movies: that has no future, right?
Retail is all about the right offer, the right mix, excitement. Hitting the buy button. That determines the length of the visit and the length of the receipt. And that is precisely why leisure does add value in a shopping center. But how? And how not?
Masterclass
J2Leisure and NewArmstrong would like to invite you to a Masterclass leisure & retail on the added value of the combination retail & leisure. Speakers here will be Jeroen Horbach and Jean Paul Haenen, leisure consultants and concept developers and partners at J2Leisure, and Justus Slaakweg, business development director of NewArmstrong. They present an analysis of good and bad examples, being overprogrammed or just haphazardly combining. There is much to learn from the right as well as the wrong combinations. Leisure emphatically offers new opportunities and possibilities.
The Masterclass will be held on March 7 at NewArmstrong in Heemstede, walk-in 2:30 p.m., start 3 p.m. This Master Class is of interest to developers, leasing managers, area directors and designers.
The Masterclass will last until about 4:30 p.m. with drinks until 5:30 p.m.
Parking is plentiful, accessibility by public transport with public transport bicycle from Heemstede-Aerdenhout station.
