Our family day at the office!

With remodeling bina completed ws last weekend it was time for our NewArmstrong family day. And what a party it was! Sun-drenched, full of energy and above all: together. Employees, partners, children, parents, siblings – everyone was welcome. Because at NewArmstrong we believe that work does not stop at the front door of the office. It’s a network of people, relationships and stories. And we celebrated those. More than 70 people at a day full of connection, fun and great moments. From bouncy castles to VR experience and cake to lunch together, it was enjoyment for young and old.

Why we do this? Because coming together as a team and family is more than sociability. You spend a lot of time with your colleagues and know the names of children and family. And vice versa: your family knows the names of your colleagues. And how nice it is to have a face behind those names for once. It strengthens our culture, increases commitment and shows that we not only work together, but also celebrate together. Family Day is such a moment. A day where we get to know the people behind the projects. Where colleagues introduce their children, partners meet and we make memories together.

Hosting a family day is not an “extra. It is an investment in culture, connection and commitment. Because the better we know each other, the stronger our team. And the stronger our team, the better we build our clients’ future.

From the moment the doors opened, it was enjoyment. The bouncy castles were ready, cake with fresh cappuccino. A soft “morning coffee” playlist for a relaxed atmosphere. Children on the bouncy castle, the smell of fresh popcorn, parents enjoying a cappuccino in the autumn sun, and colleagues showing off their workplaces.

There were tours of our office – explaining what we do, how we work and why we are so proud of our projects. For many it was an eye-opener: “I didn’t know you guys were so innovative in retail design!”

And, of course, there was also room for the informal.

The reactions were heartwarming. “What a nice atmosphere,” “I really feel part of your team,” and “So nice to meet you once!” were just some of the many compliments we received. The best part? The genuine pleasure of colleagues who were able to show their families what they work on every day.

It was also a valuable experience for new employees. “I’ve only been working here for a week, but after today I feel like I’ve been part of the club for years.”

Family Day shows that culture is not something you write down in a policy document. It’s something you do. What you organize. What you experience together. And it’s exactly what we want to continue to encourage at NewArmstrong.
