Start of Ramadan: blessed Ramadan
Ramadan Mubarak – A moment of reflection, connection and understanding within our team
At NewArmstrong, we believe that good collaboration begins with attention. Attention for each other, for the process and for the context in which we work. That’s why we like to take a moment to celebrate the start of Ramadan – a period that has important meaning for colleagues.
This week begins Ramadan for millions of people worldwide – a month of reflection, togetherness and gratitude. Even within our own team, there are colleagues celebrating this period. Therefore, we like to take a moment to reflect on what this month means and how we can create a supportive work environment together.
What does Ramadan mean?
Ramadan is more than just fasting. It is a period when Muslims do not eat or drink from sunrise to sunset, but focus primarily on:
- Self-reflection
- Deepening and spirituality
- Charity and compassion
- Connection to family and community
It’s a time when awareness is key – something we as an organization also place a high value on.
Working together with attention
For colleagues who are fasting, a workday can sometimes feel just a little different. Less energy in the afternoon, different meal times, or taking some time for prayer – all quite normal during this period.
Therefore, we ask our entire team to be considerate of each other with a little extra understanding and flexibility. Consider:
- Respect that colleagues do not participate in joint lunches.
- Possibly schedule heavy brainstorms or workshops early in the day.
- Ask open-ended questions when in doubt about what someone is comfortable with.
It is not about big changes, but small acts of attention that can make a big difference.
We wish everyone a happy and blessed Ramadan
To all colleagues who participate:
Ramzaan Mubarak – we wish you a beautiful, meaningful month.
