Concept for recycling without the CO2 emissions of transportation: the l’APRIL
New concept
Our new concept for recycling clothes now saves the CO2 emissions from transporting them home. Don’t like the clothes you bought in the store? Then you don’t have to take it home with you and worry about it for a month, only to find that you can’t return it. We can now save you that trouble and its CO2 emissions with this new display: the l’APRIL: the Lifecycle at Purchase Recycling Intake Locker.
de l’APRIL
Retail is all about experience: light, color, routing, displays. Every detail determines how a customer feels when walking through a store. You can see this in all sorts of analysis topics within retail design, from layout to product placement.
But sometimes experience is mostly… humor. And today we introduce a scoop that will make even the most seasoned formula manager blink for a moment:
The clothing collection bin… right next to the cash register.
So that if you’re in doubt about your purchase, you can donate it right away.
“Not pretty? Right in!”
Why this “innovation”?
The inspiration comes from a well-known retail principle: reduce choice stress, make the experience simpler and more lighthearted. In many of our projects, we see how clients sometimes struggle with knots. Too much choice, uncertainty, a sudden “hmm … don’t really know”. Those little moments of doubt are part of the shopping experience. So we thought: what if we fully embrace that moment? Not dissolve it. Not massage it away. But laugh about it.
The result: a nice “direct-donate” bin for clothes you just don’t like after all. And, we love a good April 1 joke 😉
