New Year’s breakfast – meet the crew!

Every New Year we start with (if possible) all teams with a New Year’s breakfast. This kind of activity promotes team spirit, strengthens mutual cooperation and trust. It is also a nice way to start the year together, collectively: just going over how the holidays were and then starting the deliberations again.

Unfortunately, we did not manage to get all teams fully to the table this year due to an interim completion of an ongoing construction and a start of demolition requiring our project managers to be present.

But just as well, the table was set, the croissants hot and the orange juice fresh and there were 24 of us. A good coffeehouse playlist from Spotify and the ambiance was good on the Monday morning.

Meet the crew.

As an employer, we feel it is important to schedule moments like this with the team. With the nature of our work, sometimes people are on site, at the construction site or working at the client’s office for extended periods of time. Then it is always nice to return to home base. Good team cohesion, strong relationships among team members and a good understanding of roles in the workplace are important. Beforehand, we determine the purpose of a meeting; to meet informally,, evaluate, communicate strategy and business goals. Communicating strategy for 2024 we already did at Christmas (with laser game ín the office). so the New Year’s breakfast was mainly an informal start-up; the strategic sessions and knowledge sessions will come again later!
