The NewArmstrong-designed Albert Heijn in Ugchelen has been nominated for the most beautiful supermarket of the year! Only one Albert Heijn was nominated, 3 Jumbos and 1 Vomar. The election of the Supermarket of the Year is held annually at the Congress Supermarket and Space (in 2023years on November 9). NewArmstrong is a partner of Supermarket and Space.

This supermarket was an old C1000 and has been transformed into Albert Heijn with an extension. On the site of the old loading and unloading yard, the warehouse was created with the new social areas. The new extension houses the new entrance. The entrepreneur, Pedro van den Heuvel, oversaw the development himself and worked with an architect to realize the shell design. NewArmstrong provided shell construction supervision, coordinating the shell construction design process with the realization of a supermarket. In this regard, the design principles for the supermarket LayOut, in particular, will be closely watched. In addition, NewArmstrong created the design of the supermarket in collaboration with Albert Heijn and the entrepreneur.
