Mr Green ‘The making of…’
NewArmstrong is working with MrGreen Boutique offices to further develop their “cool, classy & bit bad azzy” Workspaces: watch the vlogs to get a glimpse into the development process: The Making of… MrGreen including the part of NewArmstrong.
Mr Green Boutique offices wants to ensure that no one wants to enter into a long-term rental contract and that no one has a permanent workplace. They transform old office buildings into a sustainable solution whereby an organization that makes its staff ‘members’ in all offices of Mr. Green in the country can work. These are now Klarenbeek and Apeldoorn, but soon also in Rotterdam and Zwolle.
In this vlog, Mr Green shows how these offices are being developed; from a building that needs attention to an office concept where members of MR Green can work comfortably. There the part for which NewArmstrong is responsible is also named: in the role of ‘ architect ‘ of Mr Green.
In order to be able to roll out the concept of Mr Green, we have developed the creative concept of Mr Green into a complete library of virtual elements to furnish the new offices.
We walk through the building in VR with the client to discuss all design decisions and technical details . From the 3d model according to all quantities for the pricing of (sub)contractors. The furniture in Mr Green’s offices has been developed by them: a specific flex desk, a meeting hub, bell unit, pantries. Meeting rooms are not standard, but all have their own character with specific furniture, floor finish and wallpaper. Precisely because of this variation, the automated quantity statement is a great advantage: the correct order quantities for all types of wallpaper and floor finishing. By combining these quantity statements with a cost book, we can quickly provide input for the cost estimate and the Business Case.
We also fully process the installations in the model to avoid clashes and to be able to test the visual impact. With this we support design decisions and simplify purchasing . The film clearly shows how the first concept is translated into a definitive building model.
Soon we will be able to show you how we will start the implementation of this project. Would you like to know more about Mr green: please contact the architect, René Bos, contact details can be found here .
